           I have died. 
           I know this now. 
           Each time 
           My spirit is reborn, 
           I know more. 

           I should not, 
           But I do. 

           I know 
           I will always 
           Be reborn 
           As Ayanami Rei. 

           That, 
           Is my curse. 

           I know my purpose shall always be dictated. 

           That, 
           Too, 
           Is my curse. 

           To others, 
           There is more than one of me. 
           To others, 
           I have no soul. 

           I have a soul. 
           I have self. 
           I am trapped, 
           In the same shell. 

           My Hell continues 
           But my body feels no pain. 
           My shell feels no pain, 
           No emotional pain. 

           But my soul does. 

           No others share my fate. 
           They die, and move on. 

           I die, and repeat, 
           And repeat, 
           And repeat, 

           The same life. 

           And my soul is now 
           Being called back 
           Again, 

           To be reborn...
